The Percy Pud 2017
On the 3rd Dec, Lyonhurst Life were proud sponsors of the Percy Pud. Luckily the weather was kind and all the 2,200 runners turned out on a bright, warmish morning to run the 25th 10k race around Loxley Valley.
The race is run in such good spirits and for many this 10k marks the official start of the Christmas period, especially as all the runners are rewarded with a Christmas Pudding at the end of the race. As it was the 25th year all runners received an anniversary T-shirt too (see pic).
Lyonhurst Life had great fun handing out cookies, cupcakes and all our other freebies as a reward for the runners at the end of the race, never before have we seen snacks devoured quite so fast! Our bags were handy too as carriers for the runners Christmas Puddings!
We look forward to sponsoring the event next year, if you are looking for a challenge and a relaxed fun first 10k race, we can’t recommend this one enough, and as you are building up the miles in your legs for your first run, don’t forget to record your steps and earn your rewards with your Vitality App along the way!!
